2019 in review

 

Mission Statement:  We honor Veterans, Servicemembers, and their families by providing resources and activities in a supportive, scenic environment to improve their quality of life.

 

Dear Friends and supporters of Stillwater Ranch,

 

Preparing our annual report gives us a wonderful opportunity to look back at the last year.  In doing that, we remember and appreciate all that happened.  As is true in any year, there were blessings as well as challenges.  We embrace the blessings and cherish them.  We learn from the challenges and let them go.

 

2019 was our biggest year yet in so many exciting ways, and we have YOU to thank for that.  Because of your support, we are boldly moving forward with the creation of a five-year strategic plan for a huge Stillwater Ranch expansion that encompasses more programming around education, family support, alternative therapies, and comradery.  The expansion also includes plans for the nonprofit to purchase a large piece of property in the next couple of years to allow for continued growth. 

 

As if that wasn’t enough, here are a few more highlights from 2019:

  • Conducted 70 equine-assisted psychotherapy sessions
  • Over 1200 volunteer hours
  • Held our largest fundraising event, the Stillwater Derby, and raised over $15,000
  • Chosen by American Warrior Initiative to be recipient of proceeds from their Stars, Stripes, and Spurs Gala in the amount of $25,000
  • Purchased a skid steer from the Derby proceeds
  • Conducted 39 ranch tours leading to new volunteers and donors
  • Hosted a booth at four functions making more great connections in the community
  • Collected 27 Connection Cards at those booths from folks wanting to get involved
  • Created 4 new programs to be launched in early 2020
